Day 1 – Wheels Up!
We kick things off with an overnight flight bound for Europe — and trust me, it’ll be worth the jet lag. We’re headed for a part of the world that feels like it was made for postcards and storybooks — and I’ll be right there with you as your travel host, fellow explorer, and maybe even your tablemate for a glass of Bier.
Day 2 – Touchdown in Switzerland
We land in Bern, Switzerland’s charming capital. It’s like walking into a perfectly preserved time capsule — cobblestone streets, medieval towers, and views that’ll stop you in your tracks. After settling in, we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner together. It’s the perfect time to meet our fellow travelers and start the journey with a toast to the adventure ahead.
Day 3 – Exploring Bern
We’ll get the lay of the land with a guided sightseeing tour of Bern. From the Swiss Parliament and the Bear Pit (yes, actual bears!) to the serene Rose Gardens and gothic cathedral, this city has stories around every corner. The afternoon is yours — maybe take the Gurtenbahn funicular up for panoramic views of the Alps. I’ll be exploring too, and happy to tag along or swap stories over coffee.
Day 4 – Alphorns, Yodeling & Fondue in Habkern
Today we take a quick trip to
Habkern, a village that looks like something straight out of “The Sound of Music.” We’ll visit a local alphorn workshop — and yes, you can try playing one! Then, we get a lesson in yodeling (no pressure, but I plan to give it my best shot), followed by a cozy fondue lunch in the mountains. We head back to Bern with bellies full and spirits high.
Day 5 – A Day in Lucerne
Today we’re off to Lucerne, a lakeside gem that lives up to its nickname: “Swiss Paradise.” We’ll stroll the Old Town, see the Chapel Bridge, the Lion Monument, and other hidden treasures. In the evening, we head back to Bern for dinner at one of its fantastic local spots. This day’s got it all — beauty, history, and some serious
photo ops.
Day 6 – Through Liechtenstein to Innsbruck
Time to say “Auf Wiedersehen” to Switzerland and “Guten Tag” to Austria, with a scenic ride through tiny-but-mighty Liechtenstein. Once in Innsbruck, you’ve got a choice: explore the city’s historical highlights with a local guide, or take a tour focused on its stunning architecture — including the famous Olympic ski jump. Either way, it’s a win.
Day 7 – Salzburg: Mozart, Music & Monks
We day-trip to Salzburg, where the hills are still alive with the sound of music. Walk through Mirabell Gardens, see Mozart’s birthplace, and wander the charming Old Town. Then it’s lunch at St. Peter’s, Austria’s oldest restaurant — still run by monks after 1,200 years. That’s going to be a story I’ll be telling back home.
Day 8 – Free Time & Folklore in Innsbruck
Today’s all yours. Take it easy, shop, grab a coffee, or simply breathe in the fresh mountain air. Later, we’ll all come together for a Tyrolean folklore show, complete with traditional music and dance from a local family. It’s the perfect mix of culture and fun — and don’t be surprised if I’m clapping along in rhythm
(Music City Represents).
Day 9 – Palaces, Monks & Beer in Bavaria
We head into Bavaria to visit Linderhof Palace, a royal escape so lavish it rivals Versailles. Then we stop by Ettal Abbey, a Benedictine monastery that’s been around since 1330. We’ll take a tour, sample their beer, and soak up the history. That night, we gather one last time for a farewell dinner at a traditional Tyrolean restaurant — the perfect send-off.
Day 10 – Homeward Bound
After breakfast, we wrap up in Innsbruck and begin the journey home — with hearts full, cameras full, and hopefully some new friendships made. I’ll be there with you until the end, and who knows… maybe we’ll start planning the next adventure before we even land!
